I went to the kitchen of Radisson Blu and talked to the head chef. In fact the menu is made in Brussel for all Radisson Blu Hotel.

They get the recipes, make them, take the pictures and send everything back to Brussels for approval. There is no possibility to change anything.

But of course, depending on the team, the same dish would taste different if you’re in Gdansk or in Dublin (I think they have one there).

Interesting to hear from someone on the inside – we admit we have had far more below average meals in the Tricity than good ones. Hopefully things will improve – we look forward to coming back in a year or so and finding a thriving restaurant scene!

It’s easy to know why you can see this kind of food in Tri-City. Most of the chefs don’t have the knowledge of good cooking, service and gastronomy… And if you show them or tell them what to do, they don’t listen to you I know that, I’m working in restaurants in Gdansk.
The good chefs are abroad. Some are coming back, but it’s not enough to change things yet in Tri-City…

@jen Thanks, it gets a bit dull snapping sub standard food though!

@Rachel Can’t wait to head stateside for some *real* burgers – I think Texas is the right place to be visiting!

Whoosh, that hamburger looks bad! As does the fish! That patty is pretty sad… way too uniformly pate-looking.

The food looks awfully dry. Your photography might have actually made it look prettier.
